EditBook Club (2018)

'Book Club' er en komedie om fire nære veninder i 60'erne, der har en månedlig bogklub sammen. Kvindernes liv ændres drastisk efter at have læst den erotiske bestseller-roman, der ligger uden for deres normale boglæsning, "Fifty Shades of Grey". Safterne stiger, og alle fire kaster sig ud i en række forsøg på at erobre det andet køn - også i sengen!

Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen) are four successful women who are not sure that at their age people still go dating. These lifelong friends enjoy spending time with each other beyond the monthly book club they attend. Discussing other people’s adventures over a bottle of good wine, they don’t expect to change the status quo of their own lives, until one day Vivian ‘acquaint’ them with Christian Grey and the “50 Shades of Grey”. Inspired by the book, the ladies find courage to let themselves love and be loved. They realize that there’s still much pleasure and joy to be experienced and, most of all, why “stop living before stop living”?
