Filmen The Woman in the Window falder mildest talt i den sidste kategori. The Woman in the Window er baseret på romanen af samme navn af A.J. Finn og instrueret af Joe Wright. Filmen står til at få biografpremiere i foråret 2020. "
The six-time Academy Award nominee Amy Adams is starring in this adaptation of Daniel Mallory’s successful début novel, written under the pen name A. J. Finn. She portrays the child psychologist Dr. Anna Fox who thinks she has witnessed a crime. However, it is not easy for her to tell the police about what (might) have happened because Dr. Fox was actually spying on her neighbours when the frightening act of violence happened. What was this woman doing there, at that time of the day, you may wonder… Well, it appears that few months before the strange occasion she has developed an agoraphobia. The fear of open spaces has forced Anna to spend more time in her five-story brownstone house in Manhattan. There’s also a husband and a young daughter somewhere in the picture but Anna doesn't find her own family as interesting as other people's families.
