EditEgon Schiele: Tod und Mädchen (2016)

The beginning of the 20th century is not the ideal time to be morally liberated and provocative, even if you are a talented artist. Egon Schiele is a man whose work and passion are driven by beautiful women. Two of them, however, have a special relationship with the artist and their influence on him is much stronger. These are his sister Gerti and the 17-year old Wally, who has been painted on his famous piece of art 'Death and the Maiden'. Egon’s nude paintings scandalize the sophisticated society of Vienna but he finds support in the face of Gustav Klimt and art agents who recognize the true talent of the young man. As art requires sacrifices, it makes him make the hardest choice - Art before Love and Life.
